Mark 14:32-42 - I wonder. If the disciples had been praying instead of sleeping, what would the affect have been on Jesus? Would the burden have been less? Would things have gone easier on Him? I don't know.
How often does our lack of prayer, our laziness, cause Jesus more pain then necessary?

Luke 1:19 - "I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God..." Holy Smokes! Could you imagine. One day, we will all stand in the presence of God. Are you ready for that day?

Mark 14:32-42 - My first impression is that it wouldn't have mattered. But I'm not sure. It's something to ponder. It may have strengthened the disciples spiritually for the events that were about to happen. When I read this passage, the verse that poked me was the one about the willingness of the spirit, but the weakness of the flesh.
