Acts 2:28
“You will make me full of gladness with your presence.”

Over and over in the NT we have seen that the one thing Jesus liked to do more than anything else in his time off was to fellowship with the Father. And while he was working, he would occasionally voice a prayer to the Father. I have a feeling from things he said in John that even when he wasn’t voicing prayers, he was in fellowship with the Father all the time.

What was the verse about where he said, “that your joy may be full”? Abiding in him. Abiding in his love. That his joy may be in us, and our joy may be full. His joy. And Acts 2:28 says his joy is in the Father’s presence. I can attest from year’s of experience that the time spent (not nearly enough) in fellowship with God was the happiest time, and the extended periods of time I spent pretty much ignoring God... well, even though there were times of happiness doing fun things, they didn’t have the deep sense of joy that comes from living in His presence.
