4:1-12 - The temptation of Jesus. He had a Biblical answer for every temptation. We need to be the same. No matter what comes our way, we should be able to respond from the scriptures with a defense.

5:8 - "Go away from me Lord, for I am a sinful man!" Peter said this to Christ. I should be saying this constantly. The closer I get to Him, the more I realize my own depravity.

6:45 - Scary. My mouth speaks from the overflow of my heart. It is the stuff that I say in secret, or just to Breann, when nobody else is around, that scares me. I complain a lot. Just now, the internet wasn't working and I was getting bitter and saying mean things to my computer. The overflow of my heart...it is frightening to think what it looks like in there...

4:1-12 - As we saturate more and more with the NT, perhaps we will be more receptive to the Spirit within whose sword is the Word of God.

5:8 - Yes, I feel the same way. Thank God that our depravity is covered by the blood and we can approach the throne with confidence through Him.

6:45 - I have always believed in the importance of filling my mind with Scripture, but I haven't always lived like I believe it. There are so many distractions. So many diversions. I need to simplify further.
