Matthew 21-25

22:36-40 – The greatest commandment. Do we love the Lord our God like it says in this passage? Challenging thought. And do we love our neighbor as ourself? Not usually.

Chapter 23 – The continual warnings to the Pharisees. What would He say about my insides? What would He say about my heart? What would He say about my attempts at rightesousness? Hmm…

25:14-30 – Parable of the talents. What are we doing with what we have been given? Are we multiplying it like we should be?

Loving God. There are so many paths we could go with this. Last night I was sorting through a bookbag of books and magazines that was on the floor during the little flood we had. The bag is ruined as are most of its contents. But one book survived. The Practice of the Presence of God. Want to love God? Then do what brother Lawrence did.

Loving God like brother Lawrence would pretty much take care of false righteousness, I bet.

Loving God like brother Lawrence would pretty much lead to a spiritually productive life, I bet.

I brought that book to India with me. It is sitting on my nightstand waiting to be read. Perhaps I should read it. :)

Perhaps I should read it again, since my current lifestyle is so far from doing it, and it might be the inspiration and encouragement I need to love God like I should.
